The ERC deals with all aspects of assistance for the unemployed … job search including the full logistical supports, employment counselling, career decision making counseling, topical workshops, funded supports and a full range of activities under the Employment Ontario menu. Any unemployed or under employed individual may use this program. Employed individuals expecting a job loss and students entering the workforce are all weclome for assistance.
CCA History
The Canadian Career Academy has evolved over the years, originally starting as a series of short youth experience projects, growing into longer adult retraining programs including computer applications, accounting and business applications as well as a 7 year run teaching electronic circuit board construction. A background built on skills development laid a natural foundation for what has become a very comprehensive series of services offered for career development, be it job search, counselling or career decision making.
The provision of solid programming has resulted in a continuity of support from our various sponsors over the past years. Currently our main programs are sponsored under the umbrella of Employment Ontario.
This year, 2011, marks the 25th anniversary of continuous service to unemployed individuals. In 2005, our home town honoured the Canadian Career Academy President with Business Person of the Year Award and further, in 2008, our President, Rob Probert was named the Carleton Place Citizen of the Year.
These honours are representative of the dedication that the Canadian Career Academy brings to all of its services.
