The Canadian Career Academy of Business and Technology is pleased to offer the Career Orientation: Pathways to Employment. The COPE Workshop Program is ideal for any unemployed individual who is looking for a career direction, labour market exposure and self-discovery. It will help develop a focus beyond "I need a job." This course is offered FREE in cooperation with the Government of Canada. This program is an excellent opportunity for hands-on career exploration. Workshop modules focus on each target topic, with opportunity for other employment sectors to be examined as well.
THINKING ABOUT RE-TRAINING? APPRENTICESHIP?
All COPE Workshop sessions include informed information about skills training opportunities, be it through SECOND CAREER or SKILLS DEVELOPMENT or other forms of sponsorship such as apprenticeship programs.
It is important that any person considering a form of retooling has the information about support options but also knows how to gather effective information and match that information with a clear assessment of personal abilities.
Timing is always important. Unemployed individuals naturally feel pressure to obtain employment and the income that comes with it. Rash or uninformed decisions can set a person in a direction that is both time wasting and likely to result in a job or career direction that is not personally satisfying.
COPE gives the client the opportunity to achieve the dream job in a planned method. Instant results as seldom achieved, but goal setting and a realistic plan of action will yield lasting benefits.
A SPECIAL COPE WORKSHOP FEATURE:
At the conclusion of the 8 day workshop session, all clients leave with a personalized COPE ACTION PLAN. The 8 day cycle builds information for this process which is wrapped up with a private one on one session with a staff member. The client leaves with a copy of the COPE Action Plan and a copy is provided to the referring counsellor. This is an effective and valuable tool.
