Our Smiths Falls office focuses on Job Search activities.
Job Search is supported in many ways but first our staff needs to understand your situation and help you to define goals. Through participation in workshops, internet training and one on one coaching, clients will develop a support mechanism that speeds up the hiring process and should result in obtaining better levels of employment.
The development of effective resumes development and marketing skills are part of the service that is offered but so to is information on all other types of needs. Staff will arrange for referrals to any form of specialized support that is not offered in-house.
Smiths Falls has been hit with several large layoffs in the past two years but at the same time there has been growth in other sectors. Our staff are aware of hidden job opportunities, and have in fact acted on behalf of new or expanding businesses who have been looking for referrals and also asking our Centre to act as a collection and meeting centre while they are establishing their facilities.
We maintain a close network of employment information that is shared.
With a supported Job search, we often find that employment can be more effective as the choices have been refined and the client taught how to put forward their best image. This often results in a compatible job and often better than expected wages.
